Care guide
Please follow these care instructions before and after your treatment to support a safer and more comfortable experience.
Avoid using harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or products containing alpha hydroxy acids, also known as AHAs, and beta hydroxy acids, also known as BHAs, for 3–7 days leading up to the procedure.
Minimize sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF for at least two weeks before the procedure.
Maintain good hydration by drinking an adequate amount of water. Hydrated skin is generally more resilient and responds better to treatments.
Avoid other cosmetic procedures, such as laser, Botox, and filler treatments, for two weeks prior to the procedure.
Avoid waxing or any other hair removal methods in the treatment area for a week before the treatment.
If you have any active skin infections or cold sores in the treatment area, it is advisable to postpone the procedure.
Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to clean your face in the days following the treatment. Avoid harsh or abrasive products that could irritate the skin.
Minimize sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin. Sunscreen is essential to prevent sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Apply a soothing and hydrating moisturizer to help soothe the skin.
Refrain from using products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, AHAs, beta hydroxy acids, BHAs, and other potentially irritating ingredients for a few days post-treatment.
Do not pick at or peel off any flaking skin. Let the skin naturally exfoliate to avoid scarring and irritation.
Refrain from touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area.
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside out.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming in the pool or ocean for a few days after the procedure.
On the day of the procedure, it is recommended to change the bedding. Replace face towel with soft paper tissue.
Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours after the procedure.
Questions
A deep cleansing facial goes beyond surface-level care. It focuses on thorough extraction of clogged pores, blackheads, and congestion — combined with professional-grade exfoliation and skin purification. Unlike a basic facial, deep cleansing treatments use medical-grade products and techniques that penetrate deeper into the skin to address underlying congestion and build-up that regular cleansing at home cannot reach.
For most skin types, every 4–6 weeks is ideal. This aligns with your skin’s natural cell turnover cycle, allowing each treatment to work on a fresh layer of skin. Those with oily or acne-prone skin may benefit from monthly sessions, while drier or more sensitive skin types can space treatments 6–8 weeks apart.
Extractions can cause mild discomfort, particularly around congested areas or active blemishes, but they should not be painful. Our therapists are trained to extract safely and gently, minimising trauma to the skin. A pre-extraction steam step helps soften pores and makes the process more comfortable and effective.
Yes, with care. Our therapists assess your skin before treatment and adjust the approach accordingly. Treating active breakouts requires a more targeted technique to avoid spreading bacteria or causing further inflammation. In some cases, we may recommend combining your facial with a specific acne-focused treatment for better results.
Most clients experience a slight flush or temporary redness immediately after, especially in areas where extraction was performed. This typically settles within a few hours. Your skin may feel smoother and look clearer the following day. We recommend avoiding heavy makeup, direct sun exposure, and active skincare ingredients like retinol for 24 hours post-treatment.
We use professional-grade skincare formulations suited to your specific skin type and concern. Depending on the treatment selected, this may include enzyme or acid-based exfoliants, purifying masks, extraction aids, and calming serums. Our therapists will recommend a post-treatment home care routine to extend and maintain your results.
Absolutely. Deep cleansing facials pair well with treatments like acid peels for deeper exfoliation, or skin booster injections to follow up with intensive hydration after the skin has been thoroughly purified. Your therapist can advise on the best sequencing, in many cases, a cleansing facial is recommended as a preparatory step before more advanced treatments.
